Joint Public Hearing

Pursuant to Section 15.2-2204 Code of Virginia, as amended, a joint public hearing will be held by the Shenandoah Town Council and the Shenandoah Planning Commission on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 7:00 p.m., in the Town Hall, 426 First Street, Shenandoah, Virginia, to consider the following Special Use Permit Request being presented by:

 

Charles Thomas who owns a parcel of property located at 601 Second Street, Shenandoah, Virginia, identified as being tax map number 102A3-7-1. The applicant, Mr. Thomas, is requesting a special use permit be granted, on the above referenced property, to allow for a home occupation construction business, as provided for in the Code of the Town of Shenandoah, Section 50-112.  The density range in this area is high.

 

Citizens are encouraged to attend this public hearing to express their views.

 

Copies of the request and the Code of the Town of Shenandoah are available for examination in the Shenandoah Town Hall, 426 First Street, Shenandoah, Virginia, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

 

NOTE:   Any special needs individuals or hearing impaired individuals who need an interpreter must notify the town office at least seven (7) days prior to the public hearing.
