Special Use Permit Shenandoah Fire Company/Shenandoah Recreation Center

A Joint Public Hearing will be  held by the Shenandoah Town Council and the Shenandoah Planning Commission at Town Hall to consider the following Special Use Permit Request being presented by:

Shenandoah Fire Company/Shenandoah Recreation Center, LLC (current listed owner) and Pamela Houck (applicant/tenant), who owns a parcel of property located at 300 First Street, Shenandoah, Virginia, identified as being on tax map number 102A3-2-C.  The owners/applicants are requesting a special use permit be granted, on the above referenced property, to allow for Community Center to be used as a licensed daycare, as provided for in the Code of the Town of Shenandoah, Sections 50-67, C, (2), pursuant to Section 50-183.  The density ranged in this area is medium to high.

Citizens are encouraged to attend this public hearing to express their views.

Copies of the request and t he Code of the Town of Shenandoah are available for examination in the Shenandoah Town Hall, 426 First Street, Shenandoah, Virginia, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Note:  Any special needs individuals or hearing impaired individuals who need an interpretor must notify the town office at least seven (7) days prior to the public hearing.
